Sat/Sun August 23/24:  Kidical Mass Family Bike Camping Trip

Departure from South Eugene High School; taking part in the Eugene Celebration Parade!!

It’s one of the most popular Kidical Mass rides of the year…and it’s a BLAST! We have to reschedule our normal “kick off the summer” June date because the Armitage group camp is closed (for remodeling the bathrooms) so this year it will be a mid-summer campout in August!

We’ll meet at South Eugene High on Saturday, August 23rd, at 10 a.m. and ride as part of the Eugene Celebration Parade. After that we’ll then spin our way north through town to Armitage Park. We’ll stop at Cal Young Middle School to pick up other families and snack. We’ll get out to Armitage around 3ishand set up our tents in the reserved group camp. We’ll play some fun games and explore the park before meeting back for a potluck style dinner around 6pm. After sleeping under the stars we’ll wake for a Pancake breakfast to power us through the day. Have ideas for Sunday? Feel free to share them- this is a community formed event!

People can ride back on their own or form groups to ride to different parts of town on Sunday afternoon. We’ll set up some departure times for alternative “mini-mass departures”.
