Duck Bike Champion!

This Saturday: Come join Eugene’s Bicycle Champions in the Celebrating Champions parade! To recognize Eugene’s Gold status as a Bicycle Friendly Community and our work to achieve Platinum we’ll be showcasing the major champions of cycling’s future in Eugene: kids & families! Eugene’s Safe Routes to School program and other local sponsors encourage all local cyclists to join the Bicycle Champions entry by decking out your ride (and yourselves) in green & yellow and creating fun signs about bikes, champions, families/kids, your school or organization and the Ducks. We’ll have some bike tunes, banners, and more to help us standout as champs!

The Basics:
Meet Saturday between 9 and 9:45 a.m. on 13th (specific location tba)
Parade departure at 10 a.m.
Decorate your bike, decorate yourself, and represent your school/group with signs.

Contact to let us know you or your group is coming, to get more information, and to get on our email update list.  Join our Facebook event and help spread the word and stay tuned to this post for more information.

Groups coming so far:
-Eugene SRTS (McCornack Elementary, Roosevelt Middle,…..)
-UO Bike Program

Hi, I just learned about the cycling edition to the parade and about the parade in general. It sounds very amazing. I am a pre-school teacher that loves to ride with “my kids” I am putting the word out for them to meet, at the last minute, so we hope to ride with you, wish us luck! Bicycles Rule!
