Monthly Walk and Roll!
This year we decided to celebrate walk and roll day EVERY MONTH! The first Wednesday of every month will have its own theme to teach bike and pedestrian safety and get us excited to walk and roll.

Wherever we’re doing our learning and playing, we can have fun getting places walking, biking, skating, scooting, rolling and busing! The Safe Routes to School Remote Learning page is full of safety tips and lessons for you to practice your way to independent walking and rolling.
WHAT IS IT?
Walk+Roll to school events can range from a single day to month-long competitions aimed at encouraging more kids and families to use active and shared transportation for their school commute. October and May are larger events, while some schools encourage families to Walk & Roll monthly or weekly.
SUCCESS
Support comes from the regional SRTS program, from the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) via The Street Trust and other partners.
In the region in past years, 47 schools participated totaling 38,060 active and shared trips to school!
